Van Gogh Book and Letter Design

In this project, the life and artwork of Vincent Van Gogh is explored through the applications of book and publication design with supplemental copies of the letters the artist has written to his brother Theo. The design of the letters and their accopanying envelopes strive to be true to 19th-century letter-writing styles and paper dimensions, while the book itself is designed with a simplistic layout and contemporary typography to keep the audience captivated with a focus on Van Gogh's artwork. All of these elements form one cohesive collection embodying the history of Van Gogh while showcasing his life, artwork, and legacy.
